Inboxes check your email before anyone reads it
Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft look up a few public settings for your domain to decide whether your mail came from you. We read those settings, grade them A to F, and send you the exact records to fix what’s wrong, with the steps for your own DNS host.
You pay once for one domain, and your report arrives by email the same day. Full refund on request within 7 days of purchase.
- Public records only, no passwords
- Steps for your own DNS host
- A PDF and a private web page
Why now
The big inboxes changed their rules
Mail that can’t prove it comes from you is more likely to land in spam. Since 2024, Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft have made that proof part of their rules for senders.
Without these records, more of your appeals and newsletters land in spam, and anyone can send a fake donation request that looks like it came from you. The fix is usually a few records at your domain host, and the report names each one.
What we check
The settings mail servers read when your message arrives
Approved senders
SPFYour list of services allowed to send mail as you, such as Google Workspace or Mailchimp. We check there is exactly one list and that it doesn’t approve every server in the world.
Email signature
DKIMA key that lets inboxes confirm a message came from you and wasn’t changed on the way. We look for it where the common mail services put it, and check its length.
Anti-impersonation policy
DMARCA rule that tells inboxes what to do with mail that fakes your address, and sends you reports. Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft now expect one from bulk senders.
Mail servers
MXWhere mail to your domain goes. We check your servers are listed, that their names exist, and that they are set up the standard way.
Server names
Reverse DNSEach mail server’s address should point back to its own name. Receiving servers look for that match.
Spam blocklists
SpamCop, PSBL, UCEPROTECT, MailspikeWe look up your mail servers on four public blocklists. If one lists you, the report links to its removal page.
Encrypted delivery
MTA-STS and TLS-RPTA setting that asks other servers to deliver your mail over an encrypted connection, and to send you a report when they can’t.
Logo in inboxes
BIMIAn optional record that lets some inboxes show your logo beside your mail. We tell you whether yours is set up and whether it can work yet.
We read only public DNS records, the same ones every mail server reads. We don’t ask for a password or send test mail, and we don’t touch your website or mail servers.
What you get
A report a volunteer can follow
- A grade from A to F, and one sentence on what it means for your mail.
- What already works, before anything that needs fixing.
- Each fix in plain words: why you need it and what happens if you leave it.
- The exact records to add, ready to copy: the type, the host and the value. Where only your mail provider can create a record, the steps to get it.
- The steps for your own DNS host, whether that is GoDaddy, Squarespace, Wix, Cloudflare or another company.
- A PDF and a private web page, and one free re-check within 60 days.
Riverbend Youth Orchestra is a made-up organization. The records are examples.

Questions
Before you order
Do you need access to our email or domain?
No. Everything comes from public records. You or a volunteer make the changes, following the steps in the report. We never ask for a password.
How fast does the report arrive?
By email from hello@gradeyourmail.com, the same day you pay. If it hasn’t come, check your spam folder, then write to that address.
Will this get every message into every inbox?
No one can promise that, because inboxes also weigh what you send and how readers respond. The report shows you how to meet the published rules, the part most small organizations are missing.
Is this a website check?
No. It looks only at your email settings.
What if the report doesn’t help?
Write to hello@gradeyourmail.com within 7 days of purchase and we refund the full $49.
Who is behind it?
Grade Your Mail is run by JHIZ Commerce LLC, a Wyoming company, which sells the Email Deliverability Check. We are not affiliated with Google, Yahoo or Microsoft.
